CRAFTSMANSHIP & HERITAGE
"Each Make Smith leather piece is the result of more than a half century of experience and love for the trade handed down from parents to children through three generations of artisan craftsmen."
"We take pride in hand-picking high quality and sustainably produced full-grain leather cow hides from Artisanal Tannery's in the United States which result in a beautiful and long lasting finished product."
"Our family has worked side by side, shoulder to shoulder, to maintain their own demanding standards, distilled down through generations. Each member strictly supervised the work of the others, critical to the last detail, with an inflexible sense of quality control. Focus on one customer at a time is a Make Smith slogan. "
Inspired in part by the Soria family heritage in award winning saddlery, Make Smith goods are primarily constructed from full-grain cow hide leather. Each piece is made by hand, per order, one at a time, in our private workshop located in Portland, OR.
